We have been learning about winter this week. We made our own bird cakes as the birds find it hard to find their own food at this time of year.
Here's photos of us busy making them.
It was great fun even though we got a bit messy and slimy!

Our Trip to Tesco
On Thursday we went to Tesco. We had a fantastic time!
We even got to go on the tills. We really enjoyed sitting on the big chair, scanning the pancakes and pushing the buttons.
Oot and Aboot in Winter
On Monday we went on a trip to Muddisdale. We haven't been there since autumn so this time we were looking to see how it has changed. We were looking for sign of winter, when we found the things on our list we ticked them off.
On Wednesday we went on a sound hunt round the paths at the Peedie Sea. We had to find things that began with the different sounds we've been learning in class.
We also had another look for some tree faces. We found this really good one. We really liked its bushy eyes and green nose!
We also looked carefully at the trees to see if we could find any with faces on them!
We thought this tree had a face. Can you see the eyes, nose, mouth and eyebrows?

Tag Rugby
Over the last few weeks we have been enjoying tag rugby sessions. We had a great time playing the games and learning new skills.
We even got to go outside for a session. We had to wrap up warm as it was a bit windy but it was really good fun. There was alot more space for us to run about in during the games and we learned some more skills.

Sally the Sea Turtle
As part of our International Education we have been learning about animals that live in Trinidad. We made our own leatherback turtles. We worked very carefully on the shells to make sure they had a lovey pattern just like a real turtle.
We also measured the size of a leatherback turtle. We used our hands, feet and whole bodies to measure the turtle. We couldn't believe how big it is!
