World Book Day
Today was World Book Day. We all took our favourite books to school. During check-in we showed the class our books and explained to everyone why they are our favourite.

We all really enjoyed reading each others books. Miss Corse read some of the books to us too.

We all wrote a book review to encourage our friends to read the books we really like.

We also made bookmarks to keep in our books.

We even used books during our maths time! We had to work as a team to sort lots of books according to their size, from the smallest to the largest.

Stick Pictures
We made our own pictures using the twigs and sticks we collected on our walk round the Peedie Sea. Can you guess what they are?

Splish Splash Splosh
We've started our new topic, Splish Splash Splosh. We have been thinking about where we find water and what we use it for.

How to make bird cakes
We have been learning about winter this week. We made our own bird cakes as the birds find it hard to find their own food at this time of year.
Here's photos of us busy making them.
It was great fun even though we got a bit messy and slimy!

Our Trip to Tesco
On Thursday we went to Tesco. We had a fantastic time!
We even got to go on the tills. We really enjoyed sitting on the big chair, scanning the pancakes and pushing the buttons.
Oot and Aboot in Winter
On Monday we went on a trip to Muddisdale. We haven't been there since autumn so this time we were looking to see how it has changed. We were looking for sign of winter, when we found the things on our list we ticked them off.
On Wednesday we went on a sound hunt round the paths at the Peedie Sea. We had to find things that began with the different sounds we've been learning in class.

We also had another look for some tree faces. We found this really good one. We really liked its bushy eyes and green nose!
We also looked carefully at the trees to see if we could find any with faces on them!
We thought this tree had a face. Can you see the eyes, nose, mouth and eyebrows?
